Honda Motorcycles & Scooter India has reported that their overall sales in July have increased by two per cent. The company sold 3,89,626 units in July as compared to 3,81,411 units in the same month last year.
The company saw a decrease in motorcycle sales in July where it managed to sell 1,12,037 units as compared to 1,48,012 in July 2014. However, in case of scooters, Honda did a very good job by selling 2,59,344 units as compared to 2,15,965 units in the corresponding month last year, making it the first two-wheeler manufacturer in India to sell so many automatic two-wheelers in a single month.
The exports grew marginally in July at 18,245 units from 17,434 units. In other news, the company is now in the process of introducing premium motorcycles to cater to the upper segment of the bikes. It will launch the CBR650 at the Revfest event in Mumbai on Tuesday.
