Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has announced that it has registered a 2 per cent increase in their March sales. The company sold 3,99,178 sales in March as compared to 3,92,060 units in the corresponding month in the last year.
Out of the overall sales, the motorcycle sales stood at 1,45,508 units, whereas the scooters sales were at 2,38,919 units. The company exported 14,751 units in March, whereas it exported 17,834 units in the same month last year. The cumulative sales for the 2014 stood at 44,52,010 units, which is a 20 per cent increase over the FY 2013 sales of 37,21,942 units.
While majority of the Honda sales comes from scooters, the company has been slowly and steadily introducing motorcycles in its range. After launch the CB Unicorn 160, the CBR650F is the next big launch for the company – its first attempt to get into the mid-sized premium motorcycle segment.
