Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has registered 28 per cent overall increase in their June sales. The company sold 3,23,224 units in June 2014 as compared to 2,51,936 units in the same month last year.
Scooter sales for the Japanese manufacturer increased by 31 per cent at 1,72,119 units in June as against 1,31,250 units last year. For motorcycles, Honda India achieved a sales growth of 25 per cent at 1,51,105 units in June 2014 as against 1,20,686. The company claims that its growth is 2.5 times more than the industry growth.
The domestic share for Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India stands at 25 per cent, while domestic and export together take 22 per cent of the overall market share. The Japanese manufacturer managed single day retail of almost 7,500 units during Rath Yatra in Gujarat. Along with sales, Honda is also concentrating a lot on corporate social responsibility. It recently opened two new traffic training parks in Bhubaneshwar and Cuttack.
