Honda India has rolled out its first batch of the Activa scooter from the recently inaugurated plant at Narsapura, Karnataka. This is the second model from Honda to be produced at the new facility after the company commenced operations with the Dream Yuga.
The Japanese manufacturer has also started the production in the second line of this plant which will help them ramp up their overall production. The plant currently has a capacity of 12 lakh units under the phase I of operations; the same will be increased to 18 lakh units by the end of this fiscal year. The total production volume will catapult to 46 lakh units per annum by March 2014, with seamless operations at all three Honda facilities.

It’s a happy moment for us as our new plant in Karnataka has begun rolling out our most popular selling scooter Activa from the 2nd line.
