Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has registered an impressive growth of 39 per cent in their total sales in August 2013. It makes the last month the highest sales month since its 13 years of operations in the country. The Japanese manufacturer sold 3,08,932 units in August 2013 as compared to 2,222,613 units in the corresponding month last year.
In Juy 2013, the company sold a total of 2,87,177 units where they managed to grow 20 per cent. The motorcycle segment for the company grew by outstanding 50 per cent where they managed to sell 1,56,629 units as compared to 1,04,253 units in the same month last year. The scooter sales increased by 29 per cent at 1,52,303 total units .
It looks like the company’s strategy of launching new product every quarter is working well for them in a big way. The company currently stands in second position at 26 per cent in the domestic two-wheeler market which is currently led by Hero MotoCorp.
