Honda Business Meet

Honda unveiled their ambitious plans for 2014-2015 at their 13th Annual Business meet in Tokyo, Japan. They plan to introduce more outlets and come up with two new motorcycles.

Honda's 13th Annual Business meet took place in the presence of more than 900 business partners which included dealers, distributors, transporters, stockists and Honda associates from India. The meeting was addressed by six top board members of Honda Motor Company, Japan. They mentioned that the company has set itself a target of achieving 45lakh unit sales for this quarter with an aim to achieve 21 per cent of growth.

Honda's strategy is to add 1,000 new touch-points to its existing network. This means they plan to inaugurate three outlets every day. With this extensive expansion, in just two years, the company will double its network from 1,950 dealerships in FY’2012-13 to 3,800 outlets by end of FY’2014-15.

The second motorcycle that will be introduced for the Indian two-wheeler market will be a stylish and sporty 160cc motorcycle targeted at the youth..

Takanobu Ito, President, CEO and Representative Director, Honda Motor Company, Japan said, “I thank our business partners from India for their unwavering commitment to Honda and it gives me a sense of pride and satisfaction on the fantastic relationship you have built with customers.
