- Could be in the premium bike space
- Comparatively, Honda launched four new bikes last fiscal year
Honda will launch only one new product this year in India. This information was revealed through its FY 2018-19 plan press release.
This comes as a bit of disappointment as the company launched four new products in the last financial year. The Japanese manufacturer didn’t reveal more details about this product, but we’re expecting this product to belong to the premium segment. Along with this, Honda will introduce 18 updated models. These products are expected to be launched with new colours and paint schemes.
In the previous financial year, Honda strengthened its premium and big bike space with the launch of the X-Blade, Africa Twin and Goldwing. It also launched the Grazia, a 125cc scooter positioned above the Activa 125. The Japanese maker has decided to focus more on the premium spectrum rather than entry level commuter bikes. The idea is to effect an image change as a premium bike and scooter brand.
