Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has revealed that it plans to unveil a new revolutionary model at the 2016 Auto Expo.
This information was revealed in their latest business strategy for the current financial year. As a part of its new “Retain,Expand,Create” strategy, the Japanese manufacturer plans to create an entirely new segment in the Indian two-wheeler industry with the introduction of this new model. While it is nice to see Honda claiming to launch an innovative and revolutionary product, it is still unclear whether it will be a motorcycle or a scooter.
Interestingly, Honda had showcased the PCX 125 scooter at the 2014 Auto Expo. This scooter features a start-stop system and if launched, it will be the first scooter in India to get one. Hero MotoCorp was the first company to get this system on the Splendor iSmart which was accepted widely by the Indian market
Even if the company plans to get the PCX 125 to India, it will be impossible for the company to price it affordably. Let’s hope that the upcoming Auto Expo to be the most exciting ever from Honda as well as other two-wheeler manufacturers.
