- New CBR600RR under development
- Likely to look like Fireblade
Honda is rumoured to be working on a brand new CBR6000RR. It’s the same bike that was dropped from Honda’s line-up in 2017 when the Euro 4 emission policy kicked in.
The other reason for taking off this bike from the line-up was a result of poor demand in the 600cc middleweight segment. But it looks like the Japanese brand still sees some potential in the segment, considering the fact that the YZF-R6 is bringing in some decent sales for Yamaha.
According to a report, this new CBR600RR will resemble the Fireblade. So it will have aggressive design language, with some cuts and creases to make it aerodynamically efficient. In terms of power, there are no information on that. But expect it to churn out some really good power. And when it comes to electronics, we all know that Honda doesn’t like to be far behind in that department. So expect a good amount of electronics to come with the CBR600RR.
If these rumours turned out to be true, then we can expect a teaser of this motorcycle later this year at the 2020 EICMA show in Italy, if it doesn’t get cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
