Honda has launched the Activa-i in India at Rs 46,213 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Activa-i is available in two variants – Standard and Deluxe, of which the latter is priced at Rs 46,703 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Activa-i is a scooter targeted at female customers. The compact size and lightweight design have been aimed to improve the usability of the scooter. The new Activa-i comes with new dainty decals and paint schemes, which have been designed to appeal to the fairer sex. Even the floorboard now comes with a matching paint scheme.
Powering the Aviator is the 109.2cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which is also used in the Activa range. This engine delivers 8bhp and 8.77Nm of torque to the rear wheel through a CVT gearbox. It gets hydraulic spring loaded suspension and 130mm drum brakes on both the ends. The combined braking system (CBS) is available as a standard fitment.
The Standard variant is available in four shades– alpha red metallic, pearl amazing white, autumn beige metallic and black, whereas the Deluxe variant also gets the option of a new orchid purple metallic paint scheme. The Activa-i competes with other 110cc scooters like the Yamaha Ray, Suzuki Let’s, TVS Scooty Zest 110 and the Hero Pleasure.
