- New Honda e-scooter plans to be revealed on 29 March
- Likely to get the Activa brand
- USP could be a good riding range
Honda will finally reveal its plan for electric two-wheelers later this month. The company will be releasing some details on its first electric scooter on March 29.
This upcoming electric scooter is likely to use the Activa brand as that will help the company gain easy access amongst the masses. Plus, it will also help the company saves huge sums on marketing costs. According to a leaked presentation, Honda will globally launch two personal-use electric scooters by 2025 and the Activa e-scooter will be one of them.
In terms of styling and performance, we expect the upcoming Activa e-scooter to sport styling similar to its ICE sibling. But there will be some design elements that will make the e-scooter look a bit different and more modern than the standard Activa. As of now, there are no details on the performance, but Honda will aim to focus on good riding range and will also market it as their USP.
We are quite excited to see what Honda will offer in this e-scooter. The standard Activa holds the largest scooter market share in the country. And if the electric Activa manages to do the same in the EV segment, then it will be extremely difficult for its competitors to come close to the Japanese brand.
