Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has updated its product portfolio with the launch of the Livo BS6. The motorcycle has been launched at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 70,056 (ex-showroom Delhi). For a slight premium over the ex-showroom price of the Honda Livo BS6, potential buyers can consider the sportier and more powerful Bajaj Pulsar 125. The entry-level Pulsar model from Bajaj Auto features a 124.4cc engine that produces 11.6bhp of power and 10.8Nm of torque. The motor is linked to a five-speed transmission. The sporty design is enhanced by bigger Pulsar series motorcycle-inspired muscular styling and as many as six colour options. The feature list comprises of halogen headlight with two pilot lamps, an LED taillight and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
The Hero MotoCorp Glamour is another 125cc motorcycle that retails in a similar price tag as the Honda Livo BS6. The 124.7cc motor, which is linked to a five-speed gearbox, produces 10.6bhp of power and 10.6Nm of torque. The motorcycle features a muscular design that’s complemented by chrome logo on the tank and a semi-digital instrument cluster. The BS6 model features real-time fuel economy indicator, Idle Stop-Start System (i3S) and Auto Sail Technology.
Hero Passion Pro 110 (Rs 65,740)
The Hero Passion Pro 110 received several updates during the BS6 transition. The changes include visual and mechanical upgrades. The new semi-digital instrument cluster, for example, shows real-time fuel efficiency. The latest iteration of the motorcycle uses a 110cc motor that is tuned to deliver 8.9bhp of power and 9.79Nm of torque. The engine is linked to a four-speed gearbox. The new model also gets Auto Sail feature and a longer suspension travel than its predecessor.
Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear (Rs 62,899)
Bajaj Auto’s Platina 110 H-Gear is the first motorcycle in the 110cc segment to feature a five-speed gearbox that is aimed to make cruising on the highway a smoother affair. The Platina 110 H-Gear also gets a semi-digital instrument cluster that features a gear position indicator. The 115.45cc engine makes 8.3bhp of power and 9.81Nm of torque. All the features listed above are available at a relatively affordable price tag of Rs 62,899.
Buyers looking for a stylish scooter in the similar price range as the Honda Livo BS6 can consider Suzuki Access 125. The 125cc scooter boasts of a retro-design that’s complemented by chrome highlights and several colour options. The latest iteration of the Access 125 also packs longer seat, more under-seat storage, a larger floorboard and an external fuel filler cap. Mechanical specification includes a 124cc engine that puts out 8.5bhp of power and 10Nm of torque.
