Honda Motorcycle and Scooter (HMSI) will be launching the naked version of the CBR150R on 11th March. The new motorcycle called the CB150R Streetfighter and was first showcased at the Jakarta motorcycle show last year and has been purely designed for the Asian market.
The CB150R streetbike will have the same engine as the CB150R – a 150cc liquid cooled single-cylinder engine developing 17.7bhp at 10000rpm and torque of 12.66Nm at 8000rpm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox and with fuel injection will have high fuel efficiency. The motorcycle ergonomics has been altered to offer more upright riding position for comfort.
HMSI already has two commuter 150cc motorcycles in their portfolio - the Unicorn and the CB Dazzler. The CBR150 competes with the Yamaha R15 and this new version if launched will be priced notch below the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS.
