Honda might introduce the CG Dream commuter motorcycle in the Indian market. This entry-level model will be a barebones motorcycle, which will be pitted against the likes of Bajaj CT100, TVS Star Sport and the Hero HF Dawn.
The CG Dream is already sold in a few other markets like Pakistan, and features a toned down yet functional styling. We can expect Honda to use the same 110cc engine from the Dream series for the new CG Dream. This single-cylinder unit produces 8.25bhp and 8.63Nm of torque through a four-speed transmission.
The entry-level 100cc commuter motorcycle segment recently started seeing some activity, with the launch of Bajaj CT100. This segment mostly caters to the rural customers who need an efficient and hassle-free motorcycle for their daily use. With the CG Dream, Honda will aim to capture a chunk of this highly profitable segment and we can expect it to be priced around the Rs 40,000 mark.
