- Powered by a 471cc twin-cylinder engine
- Features LED illumination, TFT, and more
- Is the successor to the previously sold CB500X
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is gearing up for the launch of its upcoming adventure motorcycle, the NX500. Our dealer sources have revealed that the bike could be launched soon and the unofficial bookings have commenced with a token amount of Rs. 50,000.
The NX500 will be the successor to the previously sold CB500X. It looks comparatively bigger and more aspirational as well. The NX500’s fascia comprises an LED headlight flanked by LED turn indicators, and it is topped by a transparent visor. It also gets crash guards to protect the engine and the front end, but that is likely to be an accessory.
Powering the upcoming Honda ADV is a 471cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine with a six-speed gearbox. The motor dishes out 47bhp and 43Nm. The setup is nestled in a diamond frame and it is suspended on Show 41mm Separate Function Big Piston front USD forks and a five-step adjustable linked rear shock. Its braking hardware includes a dual 296mm front and a single 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. The NX500’s tall stance is further complemented by its 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels wrapped in 110/80 front and 160/60 rear tyres.
Honda has offered features like LED illumination, traction control, ABS, and a five-inch TFT with smartphone connectivity. The latter lets you control music, calls and SMS and access turn-by-turn navigation too.
We expect Honda to price the NX500 around Rs. 7 lakh to Rs. 7.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the Kawasaki Versys 650 and the Moto Morini X-Cape.
