The Japanese tourer was launched recently and its asking price is set at Rs. 5.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Honda offers the NX500 in three paint schemes – Grand Prix Red, Pearl Horizon White, and Gunpowder Black.
The NX500 is the successor to the previously sold CB500X. It gets a tall stance with a butch build as the bodywork features a single-piece LED headlight with a transparent visor. Powering the Honda NX500 is a 471cc, parallel-twin engine that makes 47bhp at 8,600rpm and 43Nm at 6,500rpm. It gets a six-speed gearbox with an assist/slipper clutch.
Honda has also equipped the NX500 with a decent list of features. It includes LED lights and a five-inch colour TFT with Bluetooth and navigation. Then, its safety net includes switchable traction control and ABS.
It rides on Showa 41mm Separate Function Big Piston front USD forks and a five-step adjustable linked rear shock. Its braking hardware includes a dual 296mm front and a single 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS.
The Honda NX500 rivals the Benelli TRK 502 and the Kawasaki Versys 650.
