Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India recently expanded its product portfolio with the launch of the NX500. The Japanese bikemaker will sell the NX500 from its BigWing showroom chain in the country. If you are planning to purchase one, then take a close look at the NX500 first.
As a spiritual successor to the CB500X, the Honda NX500 features a tall stance with a muscular build. Its fascia comprises a set of vertically stacked LED lights topped by a transparent visor.
The NX500 appears quite slim and proportionate from the pictures. The fuel tank area appears to offer the most visual mass to the NX500. The bike comes with a single-piece seat.
Powering the NX500 is a twin-cylinder 471cc, parallel-twin engine. It makes 47bhp at 8,600rpm and 43Nm at 6,500rpm and it is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The NX also benefits from a slip-and-assist clutch.
Honda has offered a reasonable list of electronics with the NX500. The suite includes LED lights and a five-inch colour TFT with Bluetooth and navigation. Then, its safety net includes switchable traction control and ABS.
The bike rides on Showa 41mm Separate Function Big Piston front USD forks and a five-step adjustable linked rear shock.
Its brakes include a dual 296mm front and a single 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. These are mounted on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wrapped in 110/80 front and 160/60 rear tyres.
Honda is offering the NX500 in three paint schemes – Grand Prix Red, Pearl Horizon White, and Gunpowder Black.
The asking price for the Honda NX500 is Rs. 5.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it rivals the Benelli TRK 502 and the Kawasaki Versys 650.
