Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. is conducting a mega two-wheeler carnival called Maha Exchange Mela in Delhi. As the name suggests, the event is a platform for customers to exchange and upgrade their old motorcycles and scooters for a new Honda two-wheeler.
Being conducted at the Ram Leela Ground, Geeta Colony, East Delhi, this first of its kind event will run through this weekend. Through the Maha Exchange Mela, Honda is offering customers a number of special offers and benefits. Customers opting to finance their purchase stand to save up to Rs 7,000 thanks to the zero processing fees, Rs 1,000 exchange bonus and free insurance. Honda is also offering a flat 20 per cent discount on accessories.
While the Indian car industry keeps seeing such events every once in a while, this is the first time that a two-wheeler manufacturer has taken an initiative to organise a platform for customers wanting to exchange their two-wheelers. With the carnival in Delhi being the first such event, Honda plans to expand this concept to 10 cities across India by the end of the current financial year.
Speaking about the Maha Exchange Mela, Mr Yadvinder Singh Guleria, senior VP, sales and marketing, HMSI said, “We believe that there is a high latent demand for pre-owned two-wheelers. So after the phenomenal success of our pilot project, Honda has taken a strategic decision to venture into a new business territory of pre-owned two wheelers, with the Maha Exchange Mela.”
