Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) organised CRF 50 FEST in Delhi, to promote road safety and educate about safe two-wheeler riding in India. More than 500 kids participated in this event, which will now be taken to more cities across India.
The manufacturer arranged for many Honda CRF 50 motorcycles making it the largest congregation of CRF 50s till date. These bikes are specially designed to train children about safe riding. More than a boring awareness activity, this one was a fun event that provided the kids a fun experience through quizzes and puzzles while imparting knowledge about the different traffic signs and rules. The company also replicated actual riding conditions for the children to be able to impart the correct techniques of riding and safety on the road.
Y. S. Guleria, Senior Vice President, sales and marketing, HMSI said, "Under our ‘Catch Them Young’ approach, we believe in cultivating safe-riding habits from an early age. We want the future riders of India to be responsible citizens on the road and lead to a safer road environment. CRF 50 Fest is a small step towards creating safety advocates for the society helping us achieve our dream of – Making safe riding an everyday habit."
The CRF 50 Fest activity will now be conducted across 12 more cities like Ahmedabad, Bhubaneshwar, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Lucknow and Pune. Honda India has been very active in educating different riders and inculcating safe riding habits in them through these activities. We think this is a good initiative taken by a manufacturer to promote safety in our country. Initiatives like these are a significant step in spreading road safety awareness and eventually reducing the fatalities and injuries.
