Honda has unveiled the Rebel Aviator Nation special edition motorcycle in Texas, US. Built in association with the California-based lifestyle brand, Aviator Nation, the bobber will go on sale in the US in June.
Pegged as a modern classic, the Honda Rebel draws inspiration from its ancestors from the 1980s. To create this special edition, Honda has given the motorcycle a unique livery with Aviator Nation’s signature colours. It gets a hand-stitched brown leather seat which beautifully contrasts with the black frame, fenders, exhaust and the engine. Other retro styling cues include brown leather grips, round rear view mirrors and a headlamp guard. Aviator Nation’s logos adorn the seat and the tank.
With novice-friendly ergonomics and rideability, the Rebel is offered with two powertrain options, both liquid-cooled parallel twins. While the 286cc mill delivers 30bhp and 27Nm of torque, the 471cc mill is good for 44bhp and 44Nm of peak torque. Although Honda’s Indian arm has so far refused to confirm the Rebel for the Indian market, the company recently announced intentions of taking on Royal Enfield with a new motorcycle.
