- Honda’s September sales grow by 10 per cent as compared to last year
- Month-on-month dispatches increased by 19 per cent
Honda witnessed a growth of 10 per cent in its sales in September 2020 in India. The company dispatched 5,00,887 units last month which was significantly more than the corresponding month last year, when it sold 455,896 units. Moreover, the month-on-month sales also saw an increment of 19 per cent as the August 2020 numbers stood at 443,976 units. Furthermore, the company exported 25,978 units in September 2020.
Honda says the growth was due to the consistently improving customer sentiments and introduction of new models in the bike maker’s portfolio. Notably, the manufacturer has been venturing into territories it has not yet charted in India. After hopping on the 180-200cc bandwagon with the new Hornet 2.0 last month, the company has recently unveiled a middle-weight modern-classic offering, the H’ness CB 350. The latter will be taking on the Jawa Standard, the Benelli Imperiale 400 and the segment leader Royal Enfield Classic 350. As for the Hornet, its main rivals include the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the Bajaj Pulsar NS200.
