- To unveil CB350 Scrambler this month
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has commenced the year with an 11.3 per cent increase in sales.
The manufacturer sold 4.16 lakh units last month as compared to the 3.74 lakh motorcycles and scooters sold in January 2020. However, export numbers for Honda witnessed a significant decline. With 20,467 units sold overseas in January, Honda registered a decline of 30 per cent in exports as against the 29,292 units it managed to ship in January 2020.
In total, Honda witnessed an increase of eight per cent to 4.37 lakh units last month in comparison to 4.03 lakh units sold during the same month in 2020. Moreover, January also marked the manufacturer’s sixth consecutive month of growth in year-on-year sales.
For this month, Honda is scheduled to unveil a new motorcycle on 16 February. This new motorcycle is likely to be based on the CB350 with a scrambler-inspired styling. While there is no official confirmation about the specs, we can expect it to come with the same engine as the CB350 and offer similar features.
