Honda registers 22 per cent decrease in sales for March 2022

- Total of 3.21 lakh Honda two-wheelers sold last month

- Exports dipped by 26.2 per cent

- Recently launched 2022 Africa Twin 

Honda has witnessed a 21.82 per cent decline in sales for March 2022 with 3.21 lakh motorcycles and scooters sold last month. In comparison, the company sold 4.11 lakh two-wheelers in March 2021.

Out of the total number, 3.09 lakh units were sold in the domestic market which is a 21.64 per cent drop in sales against 3.95 lakh units sold in the same period last year. That said, even exports for Honda took a hit. It sold 11,794 motorcycles and scooters overseas registering a 26.29 per cent dip compared to the 16,000 units sold abroad in March 2021. 

However, Honda’s month-on-month numbers grew by 2.79 per cent compared to February 2022 wherein it sold 3.12 lakh units. Even its sales in India increased by 91 per cent in March 2022 against the 2.85 lakh number it registered in Feb’22. 

Recently, Honda launched the 2022 Africa Twin Adventure Sports in India with a price tag of Rs 16.01 lakh onwards. It even went on to register the design of the CRF190L in the country too.
