Buoyed by the strong demand for the CB Unicorn, Honda has decided to relaunch the motorcycle. Priced at Rs 67,028 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the CB Unicorn is expected to hit the showrooms by March 2016.
The Honda CB Unicorn is powered by a 150cc single-cylinder engine which delivers 13bhp and 13Nm of torque through a five-speed transmission. This engine has helped this CB Unicorn achieve its iconic status in the Indian two-wheeler industry and can still boast of being one of the most refined powertrains in business.
In its day, the CB Unicorn was one of the most popular 150cc motorcycles sold in the country. The CB Unicorn had created an image of reliability and refinement in the minds of the customers which helped it consistently outsell its competition. However, with the introduction of CB Unicorn 160, Honda eventually phased out the motorcycle. While the CB Unicorn 160 has also been selling in decent numbers, it has so far been unable to replicate the success of its predecessor.
The 150cc motorcycle will be positioned between the Shine SP and the CB Unicorn 160 in the lucrative executive commuter segment. It will be offered in three paint schemes – black, red and silver.
