Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India and Repsol Lubricants have entered a strategic alliance for the launch of ‘Honda Repsol MOTO BIKER & MOTO SCOOTER’ engine oil in India. Tested by Honda Motor Japan, the new engine oil will be marketed as ‘Honda Repsol MOTO’.
The company claims that the new engine oil provides a longer engine life protection, enhanced fuel efficiency with low maintenance cost, quick start with rapid acceleration, and deposit-free engine components. The co-branded engine oil will be sold in two grades - ‘Honda Repsol MOTO BIKER 10W30 MA’ for motorcycles and ‘Honda Repsol MOTO SCOOTER 10W30 MB’ for scooters.
Both the engine oil variants will be sold in 800ml, 900ml, and 1,000ml packs and they will be available in the open-market from November 2020.
Speaking about the launch of the engine oils, Clara Velasco, Director Lubricants, Repsol, said that the two brands have been partners in the Repsol Honda MotoGP team for 26 years, and all the experience that the companies have acquired developing lubricants for this demanding level of competition is passed onto the commercial products.
