Honda has unveiled the CB1000R Carbon Edition at the 2018 Tokyo Motorcycle Show.
The bike built by Magical Racing is a one-off motorcycle based on the CB1000R with an exhaustive list of carbon fibre components. It gets carbon fibre radiator guards, air box plates, chain guard, handlebars, front and rear fenders, and sump guard. The wheels are also carbon fibre with a single-sided swingarm that exposes the rear wheel.
In addition to all these components Honda has also equipped the CB1000R Carbon Fibre edition with a golden-anodised Spec-A exhaust from Yamamoto Racing. Mechanically, the bike remains the same and continues to use a 1000cc, in-line four cylinder engine that produces 143bhp and 104Nm of torque, and is mated to a six-speed transmission. However, considering the extensive use of carbon fibre on the bike, we can expect it to be lighter than the standard version.
While the CB1000R will go on sale in India sometime soon, the CB1000R Carbon Edition is highly unlikely to arrive in the country.
