Making the most of the festive season, Honda has recorded its highest ever sales monthly numbers in September 2016. Honda sold over 5.39 lakh two-wheelers in the last month, which is 31 per cent more than the number the company had clocked in September 2015.
Breaching the five lakh mark for the first time, the company improved on its previous personal record by nine per cent in September. Honda racked record sales numbers in both domestic and export markets, with the latter recording a 54 per cent jump in demand.
Honda also made the most of the healthy monsoons and festive season by introducing new products and cosmetic updates for its line-up. The company has also been rolling out exchange offers, discounts and benefits for those choosing to finance their purchase. The Honda Activa range of scooters has been the main driver of sales for the Japanese manufacturer. Sales of the Activa crossed 3.5 lakh units for the first time, while motorcycle sales also registered an impressive 25 per cent jump in demand.
