Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India say that they have fixed the brake system issue on 75 per cent of the CBR250R motorcycle by replacing the ‘front brake master cylinder assembly’. Honda had recalled 11,500 CBR250Rs, which were manufactured in India between March 2011 and September 2012, on November 19, 2012.
The company is planning to fix the remaining number of CBR250Rs at the earliest. During the recall announcement, the company had said there was a possibility of limited ineffectiveness in front brakes application on the standard variant of CBR 250R but this concern does not impact the overall braking functionality and effectiveness of front and rear brakes under normal riding conditions.
