- Honda dispatches 2.11 lakh units in June 2020
- Sales in May 2020 stood at 54,820 units

The Indian two-wheeler industry has started showing signs of recovery as the economic activities are gradually resuming now. This was evident by the June 2020 sales of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India which recorded dispatches of 2,10,879 units last month. This was a hike of nearly 153 per cent over May 2020 when the company sold 54,820 units.
Honda’s June sales figure mentioned above combines domestic retail of 2,02,837 units and exports of 8,042 units. Besides the significant hike in its retail figure, the company also witnessed a huge growth in customer visits at its authorised workshops where the footfall went over 22 lakh across India. Notably, starting from the announcement of ‘Unlock 1’ to the first week of June, Honda had resumed over 95 per cent of its retail and service network.
In other news, Honda is also actively launching its BS6 models since the lockdown has started to ease. It launched the CD 110 Dream BS6, Grazia BS6 and Livo BS6 within a month. Moreover, the company also commenced the deliveries of the 2020 Africa Twin adventure tourer. Furthermore, online reports state that the BS6 model of the Honda CB Hornet 160R is likely to be launched soon.
