Honda has been one of the fastest growing two-wheeler companies in India. It sold 57,94,893 two-wheelers in 2017, making it the first time to cross 50 lakhs sales mark.
This fantastic growth is a result of constant demand for its scooter range, Activa and also for the CB Hornet 160R and the CB Shine bikes. Out of all the months, December is when Honda registered the highest growth of whopping 77 per cent. The company sold 3,63,226 units last month as compared to 2, 05,158 in the corresponding month in 2016.
Just like every month, scooters contributed the most at 2,38,818 units as against 1,51,758 units. The Activa 4G has been doing really well for the company. The Japanese manufacturer has now set eyes on 125cc scooter segment with the new Grazia. With this new product, Honda plans to steal the numero uno position from the Suzuki Access 125.
