- Bikes dispatched from the Honda factory

- Available in a single variant
Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India has dispatched its latest offering, the Shine 100 from its Karnataka-based factory. The bike is set to arrive at local dealerships very soon, followed by deliveries after that.
The Shine 100 is Honda’s entry ticket in the 100cc commuter segment. It borrows styling cues from the Shine 125 and features a purposeful and simple structure. The new Shine gets a flat and slim fuel tank, a single-piece seat, and a grab rail. It draws power from a 98.9cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that makes 7.61bhp and 8.05Nm. It’s linked to a four-speed gearbox.
The bike’s overall setup is quite barebones as it just gets telescopic front forks, dual rear springs and a front and rear drum brake setup with CBS. Honda has chosen tubed tyres for the Shine 100 instead of tubeless ones for cost-saving purposes. Even on the feature front, it just gets a halogen headlight with bulb indicators, a twin-pod analogue instrument console and a side stand cut off.
Honda offers the Shine 100 in five paint schemes – red, blue, gold, grey, and green. All these body colours are complemented by black body panels. Honda has priced the Shine 100 at Rs. 64,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it almost Rs. 8,000 more affordable than the Hero Splendor range.
