- Honda SP 125 prices increased by Rs 955
- Start at Rs 74,407 (ex-showroom, Delhi) now
- Second hike since its launch in November 2019
Honda increased the prices of its 125cc commuter motorcycle, the SP 125, by Rs 955 in India. Although that’s a marginal hike, it’s worth noting that the bike has received a price bump for the second time since its launch in November 2019. The Honda SP 125 BS6 now costs Rs 74,407 (drum brake) and Rs 78,607 (disc brake) (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
In essence, the SP 125 is a more premium version of the Shine. It has been bestowed with a sharper and sportier design along with edgy graphics. For the segment it belongs to, the list of features is also impressive with an engine start-stop switch, full-LED headlamp and tail lamp, ACG silent starter and a fully-digital instrument cluster which shows a plethora of information.
The SP 125 is propelled by a 124cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which churns out 10.5bhp at 7,500rpm and 11Nm at 6,000rpm. The motor is linked to a five-speed gearbox. Underpinned by a single-cradle frame, the commuter rides on 18-inch alloy wheels which are suspended by telescopic forks and dual shock absorbers. Braking is handled by a drum at both ends while a front disc is available as an option.
The Honda SP 125 comes in four colour options - green, red, blue and grey. It goes up against the Hero Glamour and Bajaj Pulsar 125.
