Honda has released a video teasing a new motorcycle that will be launched in India soon. By the looks of it, this motorcycle will go up against the likes of the Hero Splendor which has kept the title of the country’s highest selling 100cc model for a while.
Now, there is no confirmation about its exact specifications but the new motorcycle will come powered by a 100cc engine with an output of close to 8bhp and 8Nm- similar to the Hero Splendor Plus. As for its styling, Honda is expected to go slightly premium with the motorcycle. So, we can speculate it to have a design that closely resembles the Honda Shine. That said, not much is known about its feature list as of now but a conventional dash with LCD instrumentation is likely to be part of the package. We can even expect an LED DRL and a start-stop system to feature on the list.
Meanwhile, the pricing of this Honda would be in the ballpark of its rivals too. Let’s say around Rs 73,000-Rs 76,000, ex-showroom. That said, you would not have to wait long since Honda is looking to launch the 100cc motorcycle on 15 March.
