Remember the pictures of the Honda City Adventure that we got you from EICMA 2015? Well, we’ll soon see a production version of it. In fact, we’ll see it on August 30.
Honda has released a teaser video of the City Adventure on its official Europe YouTube channel. Being a teaser, it is obvious that Honda won’t show the two-wheeler completely and they didn’t. But we believe, the production version of it won’t be very different from the concept, and that’s a good thing. Because the concept version looks really nice with its tall, rugged stance (adventure bikes have that style).
A couple of weeks ago, we talked about the patent images of the City Adventure. While there are a couple of changes from the concept version, it still doesn’t qualify for a heavily-toned down version. Honda has equipped this adventure scooter with a smaller and a compact exhaust. Also, the handguards are bigger – something we see on big adventure bikes.
The heart of this scooter is from the NC750 – 750cc parallel twin 54bhp engine mated to a DCT semi-auto gearbox. So in terms of performance, this scooter is adequately equipped. However, we aren’t sure about the state of tune of this engine, considering it’s on an adventure scooter.
So in two days we’ll have more information on the Honda City Adventure. Unfortunately, only the European market and certain Asian markets will be lucky to get this scooter. For us, well, our market still need to mature from the Activas and the Access’.
Stay tuned
