Honda will officially launch the 2016 version of the Dream Neo next month. Unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo, the 2016 Dream Neo will be one of the first launches for the Japanese maker in the new financial year.
The major changes seen on the 2016 Dream Neo is at the cosmetic front. This updated entry-level motorcycle now gets new body graphics and decals, 3D Honda logo on the tank and a chrome guard on the exhaust. It’ll also continue to get a lockable side cowl for easy access to the storage compartment.
In terms of mechanicals, the 2016 Dream Neo might get a BS-IV updated engine. However, the model unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo didn’t have this engine change. But the Japanese manufacturer has announced to update close to 13 models to meet the upcoming emission norms and we believe the 2016 Dream Neo will be a part of it.
The 2016 Dream Neo is powered by an 110cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 8.25bhp at 7500rpm and peak torque of 8.63Nm at 5500rpm. This engine is mated to a four-speed gearbox. Once launched, the 2016 Dream Neo will continue to compete with the high-selling Hero Passion Pro and the TVS Victor. In terms of pricing, we think Honda will stick very close to the price tag of Rs 49,070 (ex-showroom Delhi) of the current model.
