Honda will launch the much-awaited CB Hornet 160 R for the Indian market on December 10. The motorcycle was unveiled this year at Honda's RevFest event, creating huge excitement.
The new Honda CB Hornet 160 R is similar to the CB Unicorn 160 but gets a fresh look due to its muscular and aggressive styling. The headlamp is simple with a bikini fairing and the bike sports a well-sculpted fuel tank. The entire design of the bike is maintained to give it a sporty look. Testimony to this are the alloy wheels with a different pattern. At the back, the split grab rails and side cowl are painted in silver. The stout exhaust also gets a silver coloured guard and the tail lamp is also a restyled one.
The CB Hornet 160 R is powered by a 162cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that churns out 14.5bhp of power and 14.61Nm of torque. This mill comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
Honda had started bookings of the new CB Hornet 160 R, recently, at Rs 5,000. The exact price will be revealed at the launch next month, which we expect to be in the range of Rs 78,000-83,000. The modern bike is a notch above its predecessors, the CB Trigger and CB Unicorn, and will put up a tough fight against the Suzuki Gixxer and Yamaha FZ16 in our country.
