Honda has announced that the new CB125F will make its maiden public appearance at the 2014 Motorcycle Live event in the UK, this Saturday. The current CB125F is Honda’s entry-level motorcycle in the UK and has held on to the crown of the top-selling 125cc motorcycle in the country, since the past four years. With the new CB125F, Honda says that it has focussed on improving the real-world user friendliness of the motorcycle.
While the power and torque figures on the revised single-pot engine are marginally lower than those in its predecessor, Honda says that the engine has been retuned for strong low and mid-range torque. The new CB125F has improved throttle response for better acceleration. Build quality has also been improved and the new balancer shaft reduces vibrations in the motorcycle.
Like in India, Honda has decided to play on its strengths, quality and reliability, for the UK market. The CB125F is a motorcycle targeted at beginners and those looking for a cheap low maintenance motorcycle for commuting. The CB125F will be available in three paint schemes - onyx blue metallic, pearl sunbeam white and candy blazing red. In India, the Honda CB Shine is currently the best-selling 125cc motorcycle, which makes it very unlikely that the Japanese manufacturer will launch the CB125F in India.
