Honda is planning to introduce a slew of updates for the 2018 Africa Twin, during the EICMA Show in Italy, next month.
Reports from a Japanese media house indicate that among the upgrades for the 2018 Africa Twin will be a bigger 22-litre fuel tank in place of the 18-litre tank in the current bike. It will also get redesigned bodywork, seat and headlamp. The exhaust will be further upswept to improve water wading capacity. All these upgrades will be aimed at making the Africa Twin more ‘enduro-ish’. Reports also suggest that the livery will be inspired by the original 1980s Africa Twin, with red, blue and white paint.
The Africa Twin was launched in India earlier this year as a locally assembled model. However, the company sold out the first lot of 50 motorcycles in less than two months. We can expect Honda to launch the MY2018 in the next lot, sometime next year.
