Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India recently has trademarked a new name for a motorcycle – the CBX. Along with this detail, a patent-based rendering image has also been leaked on the web.
This leaked patent-image reveals that the Japanese manufacturer is planning to tap the lower end of the 150cc market. Currently, majority of the 150cc motorcycles are at the premium side, with target audience being the youth, but looks like Honda wants to be the first one to offer an affordable 150cc motorcycle. This image clearly shows that it is a toned-down version of the CB Unicorn 160.
There are lot of things that the company is planning to cut cost on, so that they could offer an attractive price tag to the Indian consumers. As per the picture, this bike will get a round headlamp, double-sided rear suspension and a basic rear grab rails. We won’t be surprised if we see the bike being launched with spoke wheels instead of alloys.
