- Road legal bike based on the CRF450X
- Gets horns, mirrors, stand, indicators, speedometer
- Mechanical and electronic upgrades makes it enticing
Honda has finally given a road legal 450cc dirt bike to the world and it is called the CRF450L. This bike is based on the CRF450X dirt bike which is also based on the CRF450R.
The chassis and the motor on this road legal bike is from the CRF450X but has been modified to go with its road nature. But most of the cycle parts are from the race version so that the bike doesn’t lose its fun-to-ride brand. The titanium tank too is from the CRF450X but gets a bigger capacity at 7.6 litres with a lockable fuel cap. The fuelling and the ignitions maps have been tinkered with for enduro use.
The CRF450L is equipped with an improved radiator, powerful AC generator to take care of LED lighting and a stronger lithium-ion battery. The bike gets rear view mirrors, headlamp and tail lights, speedometer, stand and horn. With all these additions, the bike tips the scale at 131kg, which is really good for a bike this size.
The Japanese maker will start selling the CRF450L in US and other European markets sometimes this year. But unfortunately, it won’t make it to India as it will be pricier once it reaches Indian shores.
