Honda has unveiled MY2018 updates for the Livo, CB Shine and the CB Shine SP at the 2018 Auto Expo. These commuter motorcycles will now be offered with new paint schemes and new features.
The Livo is a premium 110cc commuter bike which sits above the Dream range. For 2018, it has been updated with new paint schemes and decals. The instrument cluster has also been updated with a digital display with a service due indicator and a clock. The CB Shine will now be available in a metallic red paint scheme. It also gets new decals, chrome bits on the visor and revised instrument cluster. The CB Shine SP on the other hand, which is a CB Shine with a five-speed gearbox, gets a tank extension and sporty decals. Even the CB Shine SP benefits from a digital display with a service due indicator and a clock.
Since the past few months, the CB Shine and the Hero Glamour have been locked in a battle for the top spot in the 125cc market space. With these updates, the CB Shine is sure to gain an edge over its rival. The Livo, being a premium commuter, commands a higher price tag over its rivals and doesn’t enjoy the same popularity. Nevertheless, we can expect a boost in its sales numbers once the updates are introduced.
