Honda has launched the updated version of four models – the Dream Neo, Dream Yuga, CB Shine 125 and the Dio at an event in New Delhi. While the new Dream Neo, Dream Yuga and the Dio are mechanically identical to their previous versions, the CB Shine is now available with Honda’s Honda Eco Technology (HET) and combined brake system (CBS).
The Dream Neo is now available in two new colour options - black/violet and black/red while the Dream Yuga is available in three new colour options – black, black/violet and black/red. Both the models get new decals on the fuel tank and the side panels as well as a red Honda logo on the engine cover. They continue to employ the 109cc single cylinder air-cooled engine which churns out 8.25bhp and 8.63Nm of torque. The HET engine is mated to four-speed constant mesh gearbox which has all-up gearshift pattern
Honda’s popular 110cc scooter, the Dio, has been updated with four new paint schemes - jazzy blue metallic, sports red, candy palm green and black. It is powered by the same 109cc air-cooled single cylinder from the Activa, which produces 8bhp and 8.77Nm of torque. The Dio comes with HET and CBS.
The CB Shine also gets four new colour schemes, back, geny grey metallic, maple brown metallic and imperial red metallic. It also sports redesigned side panels, headlamp cowl, tail lamp, fuel tank and new alloy wheels. Changes are more than skin-deep, as the new CB Shine’s 125cc mill has now been equipped with HET, which is expected to improve the efficiency of the motorcycle.
While Honda had showcased the CBR650F at the dealers meet in Delhi, yesterday, for some reason it did not unveil the middleweight supersports motorcycle at today’s event. While we had high hopes of seeing the CBR650F being launched today, Honda has left enthusiasts wanting for more. For now, Honda hasn’t announced the prices or other details of these four new models. Dealer despatch of these models will commence by March 2015, and we expect further details to be revealed by then.
