Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has updated the CB Shine motorcycle with the addition of two paint schemes and new decals. Besides black, geny grey metallic and rebel red metallic, the CB Shine is now available in pearl amazing white and dual tone red/black paint schemes.
The addition of new paint schemes and stickering seems to be an attempt to maintain the novelty of the motorcycle. The CB Shine is Honda’s largest selling motorcycle globally and in India. Since it was launched in 2006, Honda has sold more than 30 lakh units of the CB Shine, making it one of the most successful models in the company’s history. Driven by the success of CB Shine as well as the Activa scooter, the Japanese manufacturer recently overtook Bajaj to become India’s second largest motorcycle manufacturer.
Speaking about the CB Shine, Mr. Y.S. Guleria, VP, sales and marketing, HMSI said, "CB Shine is the largest selling 125cc motorcycle in India. Acknowledging the evolving customer needs, Honda has regularly reinvented the model. Maintaining crisp power with time-trusted Honda technology, the new style sheet will further up the style quotient of CB Shine and reaffirm it as a true Winners’ Choice.”
The new updates haven’t affected the price of the CB Shine and the motorcycle continues to retail at Rs 48,789 for the kick drum spoke variant, Rs 52,467 for the self-drum alloy variant and Rs 55,607 for the top-end self-disc alloy variant. The CB Shine goes up against a host of 125cc commuter motorcycles like the Bajaj Discover, TVS Phoenix and the Hero Super Splendor.
