- X-Blade delisted due to poor sales
- Based on CB Hornet 160R’s platform
- Lacked disc brake at the rear
Honda has finally decided to discontinue the X-Blade from the Indian market. It was first launched in 2018 but the motorcycle hasn’t been able to deliver good sales for the company.
The Japanese maker has also delisted the X-Blade from its official website. However, there will be some units available with dealers across the country, and there’s a high chance of these units being sold at a good discount.
Based on the first generation CB Hornet 160R, the X-Blade looked far sharper and had aggressive front as well as rear sections. A few other elements like the seat and the tank shrouds were different on the X-Blade, compared to the Hornet 160R.
Under these cycle parts was a 162cc single-cylinder engine that made decent power and torque. The gearbox was five-speed which offered decent shifts. As a product, the X-Blade was positioned below the CB Hornet 160R, and that is why it was also less equipped. It missed out on the rear disc brake and CBS option. From this delisting, it is clear that the Indian market didn’t accept the X-Blade. With so many better options in the market, Honda failed to make an impact with this 160cc motorcycle.
