Honda has commenced the bookings for its latest motorcycle, the XBlade at all showrooms across India.
This Honda has been priced at Rs 79,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) and the deliveries will begin from mid-March. Based on Honda's most successful premium bike the CB Hornet, the X Blade has been launched to help Honda gain additional market share in the growing 150-160cc segment. The Japanese manufacturer has focused a lot on making the bike look stylish and premium. The sharp sculpted fuel tank, LED headlamp and aggressive tail lamp does the job of making the bike look really cool. The design of the grabrail is quite unique on the XBlade. Even though it’s a sporty motorcycle, the XBlade gets a single seat and not the traditional split seat. The instrument cluster is all digital.
The XBlade is powered by Honda’s 162cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 13.93bhp at 8500rpm and peak torque of 13.9Nm at 6000rpm. This engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox that transfer power to the rear wheel in one up and four-down shift patterns. The XBlade gets 276mm front disc and 130mm drum brake at the rear. The XBlade tips the scale at 140kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres.
The new XBlade competes with the TVS Apache RTR160. But the latter is expected to get a major update in the next few months and that will make things interesting in this space.
