Honda has announced the launch of the BS6-compliant X-Blade in the Indian market with ex-showroom (UP) prices starting from Rs 1,05,325 (single-disc). The X-Blade BS6 will be available in two variants – Single disc and Double disc – and four colours – Pearl Spartan Red, Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Axis Grey Metallic and Matte Marvel Blue Metallic.
The feature list on the updated model includes LED headlamp, LED tail lamp, aggressive sculpted tank design and a dual outlet muffler. The styling aims to attract young buyers. The motorcycle uses link type gear shifter, split-style grab rail, stylish wheel stripes, under cowl, front fork cover, sharp side covers and hugger fender. The latest model also packs new graphics.
The updated instrument cluster on the motorcycle includes a gear-position indicator, service due indicator and a digital clock. Honda has also updated the switchgear with the addition of an engine stop switch and a hazard light button.
Hardware on the motorcycle comprises of petal-type disc brakes on both wheels while the safety net includes single-channel ABS. The optional rear disc is a new addition to the package. Shock absorption tasks are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the back.
The motorcycle is powered by a BS6-compliant 160cc, single-cylinder engine with Honda Eco Technology. Honda has not revealed the power and torque output numbers in its announcement.
Similar to the rest of its BS6 models, Honda will offer a six-year warranty package (three years standard + three years optional extended warranty) with the X-Blade.
