- Honda X-Blade BS6 price hiked by Rs 576
- Starts at Rs 1,06,687 (ex-showroom)
Honda has increased the prices of its sporty commuter, the X-Blade BS6, in India. The motorcycle has become Rs 576 more expensive now and costs Rs 1,06,687 (single disc) and Rs 1,10,968 (dual disc) (both prices are ex-showroom).
Honda had launched the X-Blade BS6 in July this year. While the angular and sharp design of the motorcycle has stayed identical to its BS4 counterpart, the Japanese bike maker has bestowed it new decals. The feature list has also been updated and now it includes an engine start-stop switch and hazard light button. Moreover, the instrument cluster packs more information in the form of a gear position indicator, service due indicator and a digital clock.
The motorcycle continues to be powered by a 162.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine but the carburetor has been replaced by a fuel-injection system. It churns out 13.5bhp and 14.7Nm while transmission duties continue to be handled by a five-speed gearbox. Furthermore, the X-Blade has remained the same in the hardware department. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels which are suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock. Braking is handled by a disc up front while a rear disc is available as an option.
The Honda X-Blade BS6 is available in four colour options including red, blue, black and grey. It competes against the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Suzuki Gixxer, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Yamaha FZ FI and the new Hero Xtreme 160R.
