New Honda X-Blade BS6: What else can you buy?

Honda recently launched the X-Blade BS6 in India with a price tag of Rs 1.06 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Around the same price, there are five options that you can choose from, and here is what the grid looks like.

Suzuki Gixxer: Rs 1.13 lakh 

Honda X-Blade Gixxer

The Suzuki Gixxer is on the expensive side of the spectrum on this list. The naked motorcycle sports a full-LED headlamp, chiselled fuel tank, and a sporty-looking split-seat setup. Powering the motorcycle is a refined 155cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled and fuel-injected engine which churns out 13.4bhp and 13.8Nm.

Hero Xtreme 160R: Rs 99,950 

Honda X-Blade Xtreme 160R

The Xtreme 160R is the newest motorcycle in Hero’s portfolio. It comes powered by a 160cc, air-cooled, and fuel-injected engine. This single-cylinder motor produces 15bhp at 8,500rpm and 14Nm at 6,500rpm and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. In terms of features, the Xtreme 160R offers full-LED lighting, LCD instrument cluster, and a side-stand engine cut off switch.

TVS Apache RTR 160 4V: Rs 1.02 lakh

The Apache RTR 160 4V boasts of a race-inspired package and features a digital instrument console that displays tons of information, full-LED lighting for the headlamp, and a feature called GTT which allows for a smoother ride in city traffic. Powering the motorcycle is a 159cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 15.8bhp and 14.2Nm.

Yamaha FZ V3: Rs 99,700  

Honda X-Blade FZ V3

As with all the aforementioned motorcycles, the Yamaha FZ V3 is also a competitor to the Honda X-Blade. However, it sports the smaller motor of the lot as it uses a 149cc, air-cooled engine that produces 12.2bhp and 13.6Nm. As for features, the Yamaha has equipped the FZ V3 with a digital instrument cluster and a full-LED headlamp.

Bajaj Chetak: Rs 1 lakh 

Honda X-Blade Chetak

If you would want to buy an electric vehicle, the list has the Bajaj Chetak. The electric scooter uses a motor that draws its power from a 3kWh IP67 rated lithium-ion battery. It comes with two drive modes - Sport and Eco which are capable of returning a range of 95km and 85km each. As for features, the Chetak offers full-LED lighting, reverse assist mode, regenerative braking, an onboard Intelligent Battery Management System (IBMS), and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster.
