Honda India has finally brought the XL750 Transalp to India. The Japanese brand has launched it as the second-largest ADV offering and here are its top highlights.
What are the design cues of the new Honda XL750 Transalp?
The Honda XL750 Transalp seems to take design inspiration from the Africa Twin. It sports a tall stance and gets a single-piece LED headlight with a transparent visor. Then, there is also a tubular handlebar and a single seat with a pillion grab-rail integrated with a luggage rack. The XL750 Transalp’s bodywork looks quite neat.
How much power does the XL750 Transalp make?
Honda has equipped the XL750 Transalp with a 755cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. It develops 90.5bhp and 75Nm and is linked to a six-speed gearbox. For reference, its rival, the BMW F850 GS, gets an 853cc, twin–cylinder, liquid-cooled engine and it makes 93.87bhp and 92Nm.
What are the features that Honda has offered on the XL750 Transalp?
Along with LED illumination, the XL750 Transalp gets a five-inch TFT, voice control, ride-by-wire, five riding modes (Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel, and User), traction control, and ABS. The User mode allows the rider to adjust various parameters as per his/her preference manually.
What is the hardware setup on the new Honda XL750 Transalp?
The new Honda ADV rides on Showa USD front forks and a linked rear shock. Meanwhile, its braking hardware comprises a dual 310mm front and a single 256mm rear disc. These are mounted on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels wrapped in block pattern tyres. That said, these are tubed tyres instead of tubeless ones.
How much does the Honda XL750 Transalp cost?
Honda has priced the XL750 Transalp in India at Rs. 10,99,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes it almost Rs. 2 lakh more affordable than the BMW F850 GS.
