- CT 125 will go into production
- Trademark applied for Hunter Cub and Trail 125
- Gets off-road focused design
The CT 125 is probably one of the coolest two-wheelers Honda has ever showcased. And now this two-wheeler is all set to hit the production line.
The Japanese maker has applied for trademarks in the USA for this two-wheeler. The names ‘Hunter Cub’ and ‘Trail 125’ are likely to be granted to Honda.
Unveiled at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show, the CT 125 is a rugged off-road focused two-wheeler that looks pretty cool. The high-raised exhaust on such a small two-wheeler gives it an aspirational look. There’s a large luggage rack at the back which clearly suggests its utilitarian aspect. Honda has given it dual-purpose tyres as well.
The CT 125 is based on the Super Cub 125 which is sold largely in Europe and South East Asia markets. So the engine on the CT 125 comes from the cub cousin. The 125cc motor churns out around 9bhp of peak power and 10.4Nm of peak torque.
The CT 125 is unlikely to come to India. Such products might not be accepted well in the country. Honda tried it with the Navi, but the sales have been disappointing.
